Ricardo Madeira

Ricardo Madeira is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, University of São Paulo, and a Research Fellow at FIPE (Institute of Economic Research Foundation). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University, a master's degree from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-SP), and a bachelor's degree from the University of São Paulo.

Madeira specializes in applied microeconomics with a focus on economic development, education economics, and impact evaluation of educational policies. His work includes collaborations with public sector entities and NGOs on policy evaluation projects, as well as consultancy roles for the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Research interests intersect with public policy design and empirical analysis of educational interventions.

He has contributed to impact evaluation projects for major international organizations and maintains affiliations with both academic and research institutions in Brazil.
