Ricardo Ferraz

Ricardo Ferraz is a Professor at the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG) within the Universidade de Lisboa. His research focuses on Portuguese economic history, fiscal sustainability, and the interplay between public finance and economic growth. He has extensively studied the economic impacts of historical events such as the First World War, the Colonial War, and the Estado Novo era. His work employs econometric methods like ARDL cointegration and causality analysis to explore long-term trends in industrialization, development policies, and public expenditure.
