Ricardo F. de Lima is a dedicated researcher at the Department of Animal Biology, Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, where he currently serves as a Junior Researcher. His academic journey includes a PhD from Lancaster University (2008-2012) and a Licenciatura from the University of Lisbon (2001-2005). He previously held the position of Invited Assistant Lecturer at the Foundation of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon from 2016-2018.
Dr. de Lima specializes in island biodiversity conservation, with a particular focus on the unique ecosystems of São Tomé and Príncipe in the Gulf of Guinea. His research spans multiple disciplines including avian ecology, conservation biology, and the impacts of human activities on endemic species.
