Rhonda Deen

Dr. Rhonda Deen is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Clinical Education at Xavier University of Louisiana's Physician Assistant Program. A board-certified internal medicine physician with 26 years of clinical experience, she earned her MD from University of Health Sciences and completed residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. She recently retired as a Colonel from the US Army Medical Corps, where she held leadership positions including Chief of Internal Medicine at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Assistant Deputy Commander for Clinical Services at San Antonio Medical Center, and Medical Director of Brooke Army Medical Center Simulation Center.

Dr. Deen's military service included instructional roles in the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) and clinical leadership during multiple deployments. Her academic focus centers on clinical education methodologies, simulation-based training, and mentoring future physician assistants. She integrates extensive operational medical experience into curriculum development and student instruction.
