Dr. Rhoda T.I. Patrick is an Assistant Professor in Media and Communication Studies at Redeemer University since 2023. Holding a Ph.D. in Media and Cultural Studies from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, her research explores intersections of media, identity, and culture across African and diasporic contexts.

Her research focuses on media and cultural representations, ethnomusicology, communication in education, participatory methodologies, and the political economy of media. Dr. Patrick’s 2023-2021 publications address pandemic impacts on education, gender-based violence mitigation, and media’s role in identity formation. Articles span interdisciplinary DOI-linked journals in rhetoric, gender studies, and development research.
