Her research interests focus on mental health and journalism, environment and environmentalism in mass media, literature through postcolonial, ecocritical and feminist lenses, and pop culture studies. Dr. Waller's work explores the intersection of media representation, mental health discourse, and literary analysis, with particular attention to how visual elements and narrative structures shape public understanding of complex issues.
Dr. Waller's scholarly output demonstrates a strong trend toward interdisciplinary analysis connecting media studies with literary theory and mental health advocacy. Her pending publications examine genre boundaries in film, postcolonial representations in book design, and stigma surrounding eating disorders in social media.
