Reza Marsooli

Reza Marsooli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Ocean Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology, part of the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science. His research focuses on flood hazards, nature-based coastal mitigation strategies, storm surge dynamics, and climate change impacts on coastal systems. He holds a professional role as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Marine Science and leads the Marsooli Research Lab, dedicated to advancing coastal engineering and STEM education. His work integrates computational modeling, AI, and field data to address challenges in coastal resilience, wave climate analysis, and sediment transport.

Research Interests: Dr. Marsooli’s expertise spans hydrodynamics, morphodynamics, and the development of advanced numerical models for coastal processes.
