معرفی
Dr. Reza Ghomashchi is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide, affiliated with the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. His research focuses on the interplay between materials microstructure, fabrication processes, and performance, with emphasis on advanced manufacturing techniques such as semi-solid processing, powder metallurgy, and additive manufacturing. Key areas of expertise include solidification of aluminum and steel alloys, thermoelectric materials development, and mechanical/thermal treatment optimization for enhanced material properties.
His work spans topics like bio-tribocorrosive performance of titanium alloys, printability of thin sections in laser powder bed fusion, and residual stress analysis in welded structures. He is actively involved in advancing additive manufacturing for aerospace and biomedical applications, while exploring hydrogen energy infrastructure materials and waste heat recovery systems.
Dr. Ghomashchi supervises postgraduate researchers in materials science and engineering, contributing to over 50 peer-reviewed articles since 2015. His research integrates experimental characterization with process modeling to bridge the gap between fundamental materials science and industrial applications.
