Reyer Zwiggelaar is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Aberystwyth University, UK. He holds a PhD from University College London and an Ir. degree from the University of Groningen. As Head of the Graduate School, he oversees postgraduate education, policy, and student progress. His research focuses on Medical Image Understanding, particularly in mammography and prostate data, with expertise in Pattern Recognition, Statistical Methods, and Deep Learning techniques. He has authored/co-authored over 180 papers and actively contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to healthcare innovation.
