Reto von Euw

Reto von Euw is a Professor and Lecturer at the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture (HSLU T&A), affiliated with the Institute of Building Technology and Energy (IGE) and the Center for Integrated Building Technology. His roles include leading the MAS program in Sustainable Building (EN Bau) and serving as a board member at ECn Holding AG. He holds expertise in building technology, energy systems, and water hygiene, with a focus on Legionella control and sustainable design.

Education includes a HLKS-Study at Bern University and HSLU T&A, alongside certifications in adult education and didactics. His professional experience spans over 20 years in HVAC engineering, project leadership, and academic teaching, including part-time roles in vocational education and research at HSLU.

Research interests center on integrated building technology, water hygiene standards, and energy-efficient systems. Notable projects include studies on hot water demand, Legionella control, and decentralized domestic hot water systems. He co-authored a book on integrated building systems and holds a patent for a brauchwarmwasser storage system.

He actively contributes to industry standards through roles in SIA committees (Swiss norms for building technology and energy) and SWKI. His publications emphasize practical solutions for hygiene, energy efficiency, and sustainable building practices.
