Resul Yavuz is an Associate Professor at the Department of History of the Republic of Türkiye, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University. His academic career has been ongoing since 2018. He specializes in Ottoman diplomacy, World War I, and Turkish foreign policy. He has supervised multiple theses on topics such as Turkish-Russian policies in the Caucasus and post-WWI diplomatic relations.
Research interests include Ottoman diplomatic modernization, British and French colonial strategies, and the impact of international conferences like the Paris Peace Conference. He has authored over 20 books and articles, focusing on historical documentation and political analyses derived from archival sources like British and Ottoman records.
Teaching includes courses on Ottoman diplomacy, modern Middle Eastern history, and the history of the Turkish Republic. Administrative roles include serving as Deputy Department Head. His work frequently examines the geopolitical dynamics of the early 20th century, particularly the interplay between Ottoman institutions and Allied powers during critical periods like the National Struggle.
