Renée Waite serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Art Department at Marietta College, teaching courses in Art Appreciation, Western Art I, Western Art II, and Art of West Africa.
She earned her
- Bachelor of Arts from Ohio University
- Master of Arts from Kent State University
Professor Waite's research and teaching interests focus on art history with special emphasis on African art. While she has been teaching Western Art surveys since 2014, her particular passion lies in the study and instruction of African artistic traditions. Her approach to art education integrates historical context with cultural significance across different artistic movements.
At Marietta College, she contributes to the academic community through her teaching in the Art Department, occupying office space in Hermann Hall room 211. Beyond her academic responsibilities, Professor Waite maintains interests that complement her educational mission.
