Renli Ma

Renli Ma is Senior Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry in the Department of Chemical and Forensic Sciences at Northumbria University. He obtained his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from University of Antwerp and completed postdoctoral research at University of Sheffield, where he also earned an MSc in Molecular and Genetic Medicine.

Research focuses on trace element analysis in biological and environmental systems using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) coupled with chromatography/electrophoresis techniques. Recent work expands to organic pollutants and biomarkers in biomedical matrices. Current research examines elemental associations with biomolecules and chemical speciation studies.
