Renee Hetzler

Renee Hetzler is an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy program at the York Wellness & Rehabilitation Institute, Nazareth University. Her work bridges clinical practice, education, and community engagement.

• Education: BS in Clinical Health Studies and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College

Her academic and clinical interests include adult neurologic rehabilitation, patient and client management, interprofessional education, and prosthetics and orthotics. Her research focuses on community education outcomes, teaching and learning in physical therapy education, and optimizing outcomes for individuals with neurologic conditions.

Currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Science and a Graduate Certificate in Health Professions Education at the University of Indianapolis, she also serves as a Credentialed Level 1 Clinical Instructor and contributes to the APTA NY Finger Lakes District as an Executive Committee member.
