Renee Cadzow, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health at the University at Buffalo's School of Public Health and Health Professions. She joined UB in 2024 and previously served as faculty and chair in D’Youville University’s Department of Health Administration and Public Health, as well as Associate Director for the D'Youville Center for Doctoral Studies and Research. Her work focuses on health disparities through an anthropological lens, emphasizing community participation and culturally responsive care.

- BA in Anthropology and Comparative Religion, Miami University, Oxford, OH (1998)
Research Interests:
- Community Health Worker (CHW) program implementation and outcomes
- Maternal/child health and chronic disease management
- Health disparities mitigation through community engagement
- Clinical trial participation and dementia awareness
Current Projects:
- Increasing live kidney transplantation access among African American kidney disease patients
- Community engagement strategies for dementia early detection and clinical trials
- HRSA-funded CHW training grant evaluation
Future Directions: Focus on CHW program outcomes assessment and expanding special population representation in clinical research.
