Renee Bowen is an Economist and Dean's Professor of International Business and Global Affairs at Georgetown University, holding joint appointments in the McDonough School of Business (MSB) and the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. She previously held roles at Stanford Graduate School of Business, UC San Diego’s Department of Economics, and the School of Global Policy and Strategy. In 2019, she founded and directed the Center for Commerce and Diplomacy at UC San Diego until 2023.

- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Research Focus: Specializes in international economics, political economy, and microeconomics. Her work employs game theory and dynamic programming to analyze global multilateral institutions, political belief formation, and international cooperation. She explores institutional design and the intersection of commerce and diplomacy.
