Renato Procopio

Renato Procopio is an Associate Professor at the University of Genoa's Department of Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Naval Architecture. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the same university and has co-authored the book 'Microgrids Design and Operation: Towards Smart Energy in Cities'. His research focuses on lightning modeling, renewable energy sources, and microgrids.

Prof. Procopio serves as editor of the journal Energies and was Guest Editor for IEEE Transactions on EMC. He is a member of IEEE Technical Committee 5 - High Power Electromagnetics and has chaired the International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering. His significant recognition includes the Emerald Literati Awards' Outstanding Paper for his work on electromagnetic field-line coupling problems.
