Renato Camata

Dr. Renato Camata is an Associate Professor and Undergraduate Program Director in the Department of Physics at UAB's College of Arts and Sciences. His research specializes in laser-based materials processing and clean energy applications, with NSF and NASA-funded projects.

With over 26 undergraduate mentees and 9 PhD graduates, Dr. Camata maintains active collaborations with national laboratories and directs the undergraduate physics program.
