Remi COGRANNE

Remi Cogranne is an Associate Professor at Troyes University of Technology (UTT), affiliated with the LIST3N Lab and the LM2S (Systems Modelling and Dependability) department. His research focuses on digital image forensics, steganography, and hypothesis testing theory. He has extensive teaching experience in computer networks, cryptography, and mathematical engineering, including international collaborations in China and the U.S.

Education:

• PhD in System Safety and Optimization (O2S) from UTT (2008–2011)
• Engineer degree in Telecommunications and Information Systems (SIT) from UTT (2003–2008)
• Erasmus exchange in Jönköping, Sweden (2005)
• Volunteer teaching in Ziguinchor, Senegal (2007)

Research Interests: Cogranne’s work spans steganalysis, digital forensics, and statistical methods for detecting hidden data. His contributions include advancements in JPEG steganography, camera model identification, and handling cover-source mismatch in deep-learning-based steganalysis.

Service & Leadership:

• General Chair of IEEE Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (WIFS 2022)
• Associate Editor of IEEE Trans. on Information Forensics and Security
• Organizer of ALASKA steganalysis contests (2019–2020)

Advising & Grants: Co-advised over a dozen PhD students and postdocs. Active in European and French research projects like UNCOVER and tools for detecting digital image manipulation.
