Remi Beaulac is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Swarthmore College. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Montreal and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Washington. His teaching portfolio includes courses such as General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and interdisciplinary courses in Environmental Chemistry and Climate Science.
Beaulac's research focuses on the synthesis and optoelectronic characterization of inorganic semiconductor nanocrystals. His group investigates hybrid inorganic-organic systems for energy harvesting and storage, with emphasis on understanding non-radiative recombination processes in nanocrystal-based devices. Key themes include surface defect engineering and charge-transfer dynamics in quantum-confined materials.
His recent publications center on semiconductor nanocrystals, quantum dots, and spectroscopic analysis of energy transfer mechanisms. Work consistently demonstrates expertise in nanomaterials synthesis, photophysical characterization, and interfacial chemistry.
While no awards are documented, research outputs contribute significantly to nanotechnology and materials chemistry fields.
No explicit mention of grants, labs, or supervised students appears in available materials.
