Reiko Kaneko is a Part-time Lecturer in Ceramics at Staffordshire University's School of Digital, Tech, Innovation & Business. As an established ceramicist and designer with extensive industry experience, she brings professional practice into her teaching on the MA Ceramics program.
Her research focuses on ceramics design, manufacturing processes, and creative education methodologies. Kaneko maintains an active design practice with commercial partnerships including SCP (since 2013), Vista Alegre, The Fat Duck restaurant (since 2009), and NeFF, creating functional and artistic ceramic works.
Notable achievements include:
- Kraszna-Krausz Foundation Award for Chrystel Lebas. Field Studies (2018)
