Regula Kunz

Regula Kunz is a Lecturer and Head of the Bachelor's Programme at the FHNW School of Social Work, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. She serves as a member of the Management Board and Joint Head of the Centre for Social Work Studies.

Her research focuses on the theory-practice relationship, knowledge integration, and curriculum development in social work, particularly through her pioneering key situations model that bridges academic and practical domains. She explores communities of practice, reflective learning, and casuistic approaches to professional education.

Recent publications examine casuistry in social work education, collaborative learning formats, and knowledge transformation in practice settings. Her work emphasizes practice-based learning and theoretical reflection across diverse social work contexts.

Kunz co-founded the Swiss Network for Key Situations in Social Work (2015) and previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Wohnhilfe Foundation (2001-2007) and as a founding member of VeSAD (2001-2006). She can be reached at regula.kunz@fhnw.ch.
