Regina Ragan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Samueli School of Engineering, University of California, Irvine. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary challenges at the intersection of materials science, chemistry, and physics for novel device development.

Current research trends include molecular structure engineering, spinodal decomposition in composites, and thermodynamic driving forces for nanoscale device optimization. The group has published in ACS Nano and actively trains graduate researchers like Hong (thesis defended 2022), Sebastian, Héctor, Chloe, and Will.
