Regina Höschele

Prof. Dr. Regina Höschele serves as Professor and Chair of Greek Philology II within the Department of Greek and Latin Philology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), where she maintains active research and teaching responsibilities.

Her scholarly work centers on:

• Hellenistic poetry
• Greek literature of the Imperial period
• Epigrammatism
• Intertextuality
• Text-image relations
• Sexuality in antiquity and erotic literature

Current research initiatives include a monograph on the Wreath of Philip and a study on Agalmatophilia in Antiquity. Her academic team comprises Dr. Christina Abenstein, Vittorio Bottini, PD Dr. Claas Lattmann, Jacob Sawyer, Dr. Saskia Schomber, and Dr. Cagla Umsu, with administrative support from secretariat member Kristina Sieger.
