Regina Götz

Dr. Regina Götz is a Lecturer at the University of Music Würzburg, leading the Music & Health department. She also serves as the Representative for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses and Deputy Spokesperson for Musicology at the institution.

Dr. Götz holds a PhD in natural sciences (Dr. rer. nat.) with a focus on the interdisciplinary topic of musical family learning environments and phonological processing in children. Her research interests span Music & Health, Music Physiology, Developmental Psychology, and Phonological Processing.

Her recent publications and projects include studies on phonological awareness interventions, voice coaching programs, and speech motor disorders in Glut1 deficiency, reflecting her expertise in bridging music pedagogy with health and psychological aspects. She has also contributed to the re-standardization of German spelling tests.

Dr. Götz completed advanced training as a respiratory therapist and educator under Prof. Middendorf and earned certificates in University Teaching and career development for female researchers. She is affiliated with professional societies such as the German Society for Music Physiology and Musicians' Medicine and the German Society for Music Psychology.
