Dr. Reg Kulperger is a Professor in the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. He holds a PhD from Carleton University (1978) and teaches courses in statistical inference, probability, and stochastic processes.
Research expertise includes inference for stochastic processes, bootstrapping techniques, asymptotic methods, and financial modeling. Current projects involve stochastic forest fire growth modeling, change point detection in environmental processes, and option pricing under non-normal distributions.
His publications demonstrate applications across environmental science, finance, and hydrology, with methodological innovations in spatial statistics and empirical processes. Recent graduate supervision includes students working on inference for stochastic processes and computational statistics.
