Reeni Abraham, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She serves as the Associate Vice Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education, Head of Fashena College, and Colleges Mentor. Dr. Abraham is also a Medical Education Track Faculty Advisor and co-chair of key committees including the Internal Medicine MS4 Advising Committee and the Internal Medicine Core Clerkship Grade Evaluation Committee.
Education: She holds a bachelor's in biology from Texas A&M University, a medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine, and completed her internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center. She earned faculty development certificates in Clinical Safety & Effectiveness and Mentoring Excellence for Developing Leaders at UT Southwestern, and completed the Harvard Macy Institute's Program for Educators in Health Professions.
Research & Leadership: Her work focuses on advancing medical education, clinical safety, and mentoring. She is affiliated with the William T. and Gay F. Solomon Division of General Internal Medicine and actively involved in professional organizations such as the Texas Medical Association and Clerkship Directors of Internal Medicine (CDIM).
Notable Affiliations: Member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and CDIM. Her career at UT Southwestern began in 2009 as an Assistant Professor, with promotion to Associate Professor in 2017 and current rank of Professor.
