Reed Kroloff

Reed Kroloff serves as Dean and Endowed Chair of the Illinois Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture. Over 25 years, he has held leadership roles including Dean at Tulane University School of Architecture post-Hurricane Katrina, Director of Cranbrook Academy of Art and Art Museum, and Editor-in-Chief of Architecture magazine. His professional practice includes jones|kroloff Design Strategies, working with institutions like the High Line, Whitney Museum, and MIT.

Education: B.A. from Yale University and M.ARCH. from University of Texas at Austin.

Research interests focus on architecture’s intersection with urbanism, sustainability, and cultural preservation. His work has been showcased at the Venice Biennale and recognized with the Rome Prize. Media engagements include commentary on PBS and Sundance Channel, emphasizing climate resilience and architectural innovation.
