Professor Rebecca Strating is a leading academic and policy expert in Politics and International Relations at La Trobe University. She is also the Director of La Trobe Asia and an Expert Associate with the ANU National Security College. With a PhD from Monash University (2013), her work focuses on maritime disputes, Indo-Pacific security, and Australian foreign and defence policy. She has authored three books, including Defending the Maritime Rules-Based Order (2020), and co-edited Australia on the World Stage (2022).
