Dr. Rebecca S. Nowacek is a Professor of English and Co-Director of the Norman H. Ott Memorial Writing Center at Marquette University. Her research focuses on transfer of writing knowledge, writing center administration, interdisciplinary curricula, and citizenship education. She teaches courses in rhetoric and composition, drama, and peer tutoring pedagogy, emphasizing practical application of theoretical concepts.
Her research explores how writers integrate knowledge across academic and personal contexts, with notable work on peer tutoring's role in fostering transfer. She co-authored Agents of Integration (2011) and has published extensively in journals like Writing Center Journal and Composition Forum.
