Dr Rebecca Menmuir is a Darby Fellow (Simon and June Li) in English Literature at Lincoln College, University of Oxford. She is affiliated with the Faculty of English Language & Literature. Her research focuses on classical reception, particularly the medieval reception of Ovid, medieval English poetry (Chaucer, Gower), and medieval forgeries/pseudo-texts. She is currently working on a book project examining medieval forgeries of Ovid. Additional interests include Neo-Latin literature and medievalism, especially Chaucerian apocrypha.
Her publications explore themes such as Ovid’s influence on medieval scholars, textual analysis of forged works, and intertextuality in medieval texts. She holds a position at Lincoln College and contributes to the Faculty of English’s academic initiatives. No specific grants or awards are listed in her profile.
