Rebecca Doerge

Rebecca Doerge is the Trent and Judith Anderson Distinguished Professor of Statistics and a Professor in the Department of Agronomy at Purdue University. She also serves as the President's Fellow on Big Data and Simulation. Her research integrates mathematical statistics, plant sciences, genomics, and epigenomics, focusing on quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping, transcriptomics, and epigenome analysis.

She received her B.S. (1986) and M.Stat. (1988) in Mathematics from the University of Utah, a Ph.D. in Statistics (1993) from North Carolina State University, and completed postdoctoral training in Biometrics and Plant Breeding at Cornell University (1995).

Her research develops statistical methodologies for genomic data, including QTL mapping in polyploids, RNA-seq analysis, and epigenomic data integration. She maintains an active research group, advises graduate students, and develops open-source R packages for bioinformatics.
