Dr Rebecca Carter Dillon is a Senior Research Fellow at the Plymouth Health Determinants Research Collaboration, part of the Faculty of Health at the University of Plymouth. Previously, she held a Lecturer position in Early Childhood Studies and Education from 2007 to 2023, focusing on teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in social policy, child poverty, social inequalities, child well-being in developing nations, and social/educational research.
Her research interests align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly addressing poverty and inequalities. She has supervised over 100 undergraduate dissertations and postgraduate MA theses in education.
