Dr. Rebecca Bender is an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages at Kansas State University, specializing in Spanish Literature and Culture. She holds a Ph.D. from Penn State University and focuses on 19th-21st century Spanish literature, First-Wave Spanish Feminism, and L2 pedagogy. Her research emphasizes Carmen de Burgos ('Colombine') and the intersection of gender, literature, and urban spaces.
