Dr. Rebecca Anguiano is an Associate Professor and Program Director of the School Psychology specialization in the Counseling Department at Saint Mary’s College of California, part of the Kalmanovitz School of Education. She holds a PhD in School Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her work focuses on uplifting marginalized communities, particularly Black and Brown students and families in prek-12 schools.

Her research explores immigrant family translating practices, community organizing for school engagement, and culturally responsive data-driven interventions. She teaches courses such as Cognitive, Learning, and Development in the Social Context and School Psychology Seminar and Supervision.
Dr. Anguiano has led a $9,000 Provost Grant-funded project (Socially Just Family Engagement in Urban Schools) with Dr. Cynthia Martinez. She provides trainings on trauma-informed practices and anti-racist self-care for school leaders during the pandemic.
