Rayna Nikolova

Prof. Rayna Nikolova, DSc, is a full-time Professor at the Department of Law, New Bulgarian University (NBU), since 2017. She holds a Master of Laws from Sofia University (1991–1996) and a Doctor of Laws from Veliko Tarnovo University (2016). Her academic career includes roles as an associate professor at NBU (2010–2017), honorary lecturer at multiple institutions, and part-time lecturer at other universities. She specializes in administrative law, media law, and public law, with a focus on media regulation, public broadcasting, and constitutional law.

Her professional experience includes roles as legal advisor at Bulgarian National Television (1997–2003), member of the Council for Electronic Media (2004–2010), and consultant on quality management. She has led numerous national and international projects, including legislative studies, conferences, and educational initiatives. Notable awards include the 'Читател на 2016 г.' from the National Archives and an award from the Supreme Administrative Court (2021).

Her research and publications focus on administrative law, media regulation, and legal education. She has authored monographs, textbooks, and numerous articles in specialized journals. Key contributions include works on administrative procedures, media policy, and constitutional reforms.
