معرفی
Professor Raymond Rodgers is a faculty member at the University of Adelaide's Adelaide Medical School, part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. He is actively engaged in research and eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students. With over 190 publications, his work focuses on female reproductive biology, particularly ovarian function and its role in endocrine diseases.
His research employs multidisciplinary approaches including physiology, molecular biology, and proteomics to investigate:
- Fetal predisposition to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
- Ovarian development mechanisms and novel cell types (GREL cells)
- Regulation of androgen production in thecal cells
- Biomarkers for oocyte quality assessment
- Follicular fluid formation dynamics
- Focimatrix role in follicular maturation
Professor Rodgers leads a research group that collaborates internationally to study extracellular matrix functions in ovarian biology, aiming to develop new treatments for infertility. His discoveries regarding hormone regulation and tissue remodeling mechanisms have been incorporated into academic textbooks.
