Raymond Ostelo is a Full Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), affiliated with the Faculty of Science's Department of Health Sciences and the Amsterdam Movement Sciences (AMS) Research Institute. He holds additional roles as program director of the Musculoskeletal Health Program and visiting professor at OsloMet (Oslo Metropolitan University). His expertise bridges clinical epidemiology and physiotherapy, with a focus on low back pain, musculoskeletal conditions, and rehabilitation post-trauma.
- Education: PhD in Epidemiology (Maastricht University, 2002), Master's in Musculoskeletal Epidemiology (Maastricht University, 1994).
