Raymond Hohl, MD, PhD, is the Rice Family Foundation Professor in the Penn State Cancer Institute and holds a Professorship in the Department of Molecular and Precision Medicine at Pennsylvania State University. He serves as Director of the Penn State Cancer Institute One Health Microbiome Center and is affiliated with the Penn State Neuroscience Institute. His research focuses on cancer biology, hematology, and translational oncology, particularly in stem cell transplantation, drug delivery systems, and molecular medicine.
Key grants include the National Cancer Institute-funded 'Cancer Center Support Grant' (2000–2026) and projects targeting chondrosarcoma drug delivery and lymphoma research. He has authored over 160 peer-reviewed articles, with recent work emphasizing allogeneic transplantation outcomes, genetic risk factors, and prophylactic antibiotic strategies in myeloma patients.
Dr. Hohl’s interdisciplinary collaborations span hematology, immunology, and pharmacology, addressing challenges in cancer treatment efficacy and patient outcomes. His lab is part of the Penn State Cancer Institute’s Next-Generation Therapies initiative.
