معرفی
Rayleigh Lei is a Researcher at the Institute for Social Research, University of Michigan. Their work focuses on developing Bayesian models informed by data geometry, particularly improving credible interval coverage for small-area estimates. They hold a PhD in Statistics from the University of Michigan, advised by Prof. Long Nguyen, and a BA in Mathematics from Columbia University.
Research Interests: Bayesian methods, statistical modeling leveraging geometric insights, computational statistics, and applications in social research. Notable contributions include work on neighborhood income proportion models, topic model identifiability, and political ideology analysis.
- NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (PhD support)
Teaching Experience: Taught courses including Statistical Inference (Stats 511), Applied Statistics II (Stats 501), and Introduction to Probability & Statistics (Stats 412).
