Ravinithesh Reddy Annapureddy

Ravinithesh Reddy Annapureddy is a doctoral researcher at EPFL and a Researcher in the Social Computing Group at Idiap Research Institute under Prof. Daniel Gatica-Perez. Current projects focus on data-assisted participatory decision-making systems for urban security through the European H2020-funded IcARUS initiative. He is also a member of the YUVA - Indians Association.

Research interests center on applying data science to social/political science, developing computational systems for political empowerment, and bridging technical and social domains through human-centered methodologies. Current work engages with urban computing, computational democracy, and data journalism applications in collaborative governance.

Recent publications include Generative AI Literacy: Twelve Defining Competencies (ACM DGOV, 2024), reflecting broader exploration of AI literacy frameworks for civic technology. Technical projects span social media analysis, pattern recognition in cultural datasets, and participatory design.
