Ravinder Abrol is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), affiliated with the College of Science and Mathematics. He earned his B.S. (1994) from the University of Delhi, M.S. (1995) from the Indian Institute of Technology, and Ph.D. (2003) from the California Institute of Technology.
- Research focuses at the Chemistry-Biology interface using computational biophysics and structural bioinformatics
- Specializes in GPCR signaling mechanisms and rational therapeutic development
- Develops structure-based treatments for diabetes and breast cancer drug delivery systems
The Abrol Lab contributes to drug discovery through molecular modeling of GPCR conformational dynamics. His work addresses on-target side-effects of GPCR-targeted drugs by elucidating structure-signaling relationships.
