Dr. Ravi Thakral is a Teaching Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Nevada, Reno. He holds a PhD and MLitt from the St Andrews-Stirling Graduate Programme and a BA from University of Texas at Austin. He also serves as Faculty Research Associate at the Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities and Research Fellow at Hoffberger Center for Ethical Engagement.
His research explores intersections of language, ethics, and epistemology, with recent focus on generics in moral principles and cognitive frameworks. Publications analyze how generics function in ethical reasoning and linguistic structures.
