Ravi Kanbur

Ravi Kanbur is the T.H. Lee Professor of World Affairs at Cornell University's Department of Economics. His research focuses on development economics, public economics, and economic theory, with notable contributions to policy analysis and international development. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oxford (1981).

He has held senior roles including Chief Economist for Africa at the World Bank, Chair of the Board of UNU-WIDER, and Co-Chair of the Food System Economics Commission.
