Rasul Mowatt is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management at North Carolina State University's College of Natural Resources. His research focuses on intersections of leisure studies, geography, and social justice, particularly examining geographies of race, violence, and public space. He holds leadership roles in academic organizations including The Academy of Leisure Sciences and the Leisure Sciences journal.
