Rasmus Pagh is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and an ACM Fellow. He is a core researcher at the BARC (Basic Algorithms Research Copenhagen) center and affiliated with the DeLTA Lab. His research focuses on algorithms, data structures, big data, differential privacy, and applications in databases and knowledge discovery.
He has supervised numerous PhD students, including current advisees Sia Sejer, Lukas Retschmeier, and Joel Andersson. Notable graduated students include Christian Worm Mortensen, Milan Ruzic, and Konstantin Kutzkov. Pagh was a visiting researcher at Google from 2019 to 2020.
He has contributed to major projects like BARC, Providentia, and Scalable Similarity Search. His work has been recognized through roles on program committees for conferences like ICALP, ESA, and PODS, and editorial roles at the SIAM Journal on Computing.
