Rasmus Glenthøj is a Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, affiliated with the Department of History under the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. He holds additional roles at the Nordic Humanities Center (NHC) and the Department of Cultural and Linguistic Studies. His primary research focuses on Danish, Nordic, and European history from 1750–1914, emphasizing nationalism, Scandinavianism, democratization, and historical memory. He has held academic positions including Associate Professor (2017–2025) and Professor (from 2025).

- MA in History and Philosophy (University of Copenhagen, 2003)
Research Interests: Nationalism, Scandinavian political history, historiography, and the impact of historical events like the 1864 defeat and Copenhagen's 1807 bombardment. Active in projects such as CRIMSCAN (Crimean War's influence on Scandinavia) and DANGEO (geopolitical shifts in the Nordic region).
