Rasim Guldiken is the John Brammer Endowed Professor and Head of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Oklahoma State University. His academic career spans over two decades with significant contributions in both research and education.
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology (2008)
- M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Northeastern University (2004)
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Middle East Technical University (2002)
Research interests focus on acoustics, microfluidics, and fluid mechanics, with applications in sensor technology and engineering education. He has pioneered interdisciplinary work bridging fluid dynamics and biomedical engineering.
Awarded 9 major recognitions including ASME Fellow (2020), SAE Ralph Teetor Award (2018), and multiple teaching excellence awards emphasizing his dual impact in research and education. His work has been funded by NSF, NIH, and industry partnerships totaling over $5M.
Active in curriculum development and mentoring, he has advised 15+ graduate students and led initiatives to enhance undergraduate STEM education. Directs the Biomedical Microdevices Lab focusing on lab-on-a-chip technologies and acousto-fluidic systems.
