Rashad Fatayer is a PhD researcher at the University of Southampton's Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) within the Integrated Photonics Devices Group. Holding a Master’s in Physics, he focuses on merging evanescent wave spectroscopy with machine learning to create non-invasive, cost-efficient cancer diagnostic technologies. His work includes a patented DNA analysis method and collaboration with the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) London for clinical translation.
