Raquel Plotka

Raquel Plotka is an Associate Professor at the School of Education, Pace University. With a PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology from Fordham University (2012), she specializes in social-emotional development, family processes, and early childhood education. Hispanic Scholarship Fund recipient and award-winning researcher, her work examines cultural, policy, and media influences on child development.

Her research focuses on early childhood social-emotional development, emphasizing cultural contexts, family interactions, and policy implications. Particular attention is given to mother-child relationships within Latino families.
